Copper Leaf Steampunk

She is living the steampunk life! I sculpted her face from air-dry clay and painted it with acrylic paint. I created her hair from raffia, and her body armature started as aluminum foil and then I covered in plaster and painted, and attached gears. The leaf on her head is an interesting story... I recently started electroforming: this is a process where you take a non-conductive material (such as a leaf from a vine) and paint it with conductive paint, place it in a solution bath that contains a slab of copper, and apply an electric current to it. The copper then disperses onto the object. It is a complicated process, but the results are beautiful! Anyway, thats how she got the copper leaf on her head.
