“WHY” is a one-of-a-kind mixed-media art doll inspired by the questions we carry through life—the ones we answer, the ones we outgrow, and the ones that may never have an answer.

With her hands raised and an expression of wonder, frustration, and curiosity, she seems to ask the question we have all asked at one time or another: Why?

She is mounted within a repurposed, hand-painted 4x6" frame resting on vintage alphabet blocks that spell WHY. Behind her, layers of handwritten and printed words create a background filled with questions and fragments of thought, reinforcing the endless search for understanding.

Her sculptural form, expressive face, vintage elements, and layered mixed-media surfaces come together to create a whimsical yet thought-provoking piece about curiosity, uncertainty, and our very human desire to make sense of the world.

Sometimes we find the answer. Sometimes we don’t. But we keep asking why.

Dimensions:

Please note that this doll is carefully handcrafted, and I take great care in packaging it securely for shipping. However, due to the delicate nature of handmade items, slight imperfections or variations may occur, and I cannot guarantee against damage during transit. If your doll arrives damaged or if any parts become loose, they can be easily re-secured with a small amount of super-glue. Please note that returns are not accepted. However, I want you to love your piece, so if there is an issue, please contact me within 7 days of delivery and I will review it on a case-by case basis.
