Aspen Eyes is sculpted from air-dry clay. The details are painted with acrylic and pastel paint. She is set on a piece of wood fresh out of the forest in Colorado. My inspiration for this piece came from the beautiful Aspen trees I have seen in Colorado. I love how the trees seem to have their own eyes! Also, these trees often have carvings etched in them from lovers and passerby - I etched some carvings of my own in this sculpture.
