Þetta Reddast — Iceland-Inspired Mixed Media Art Doll

Inspired by my travels to Iceland, Þetta Reddast carries with her one of the country’s most beloved sayings: “Þetta reddast,” an Icelandic phrase that roughly translates to “It will all work out.”

It’s a simple phrase with a powerful message—the belief that even when we don’t know what comes next, somehow we will find our way through.

Her body is created from repurposed corks, stacked one upon another like the moments that make up a life. Each piece becomes part of the journey—a reminder that we don’t have to figure everything out at once.

One piece at a time. One day at a time. Þetta reddast.

Whimsical, imperfect, and full of meaning, she was created as a little reminder to trust the process, keep going, and believe that somehow, things have a way of working themselves out.
